The Man: Hon.Gbogiaran Dada Emmanuel Caretaker Chairman, Akoko South South LCDAS
Hon. Gbogiaran Dada Emmanuel, popularly called Gbogi Emmanuel , a man of remarkable distinction, was born in the early 70s in Owake Community, Iwaro-Oka Akoko, to the illustrious families of Adeoye Patrick Gbogiaran and Deborah Aderonke Gbogiaran (née Olagbegi) from the lineage of Oba Olagbegi the 1st in Owo Kingdom, Ondo State.
Education has been the cornerstone of his journey. He completed his elementary and secondary school education in Imade College Owo, Ondo State. His academic pursuits led him to Ondo State University Ado Ekiti, now known as Ekiti State University Ado, where he studied English and Literary Studies. Eager to expand his horizons, Gbogi Emmanuel ventured to the United States, where he earned a Master’s in Business Administration and Chain Management from the Colorado Technical University. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Homeland Security and policy Management at North Central University in the United States.
Upon arriving in the U.S., Gbogi Emmanuel displayed his unwavering dedication by enlisting in the United States Army. He was subsequently deployed to some of the world’s most troubled regions, including Afghanistan Iraq, syria and somalia, where he participated in Peacekeeping Missions under the United Nations Coalition Forces—an assignment he undertook three consecutive times.
After his distinguished military service, Gbogi Emmanuel transitioned into the business arena. He now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Gboghy Ventures Limited, a dynamic firm headquartered in Colorado, United States. Gboghy Ventures Limited is involved in various sectors, including Real Estate and liquor brewing, and it pursues diversified business interests and ventures.
Driven by his profound commitment to giving back to society, especially his hometown of Oka Akoko, Gbogi Emmanuel founded the Gbogi Emmanuel Foundation. This platform focuses on youth empowerment, the emancipation of elderly and vulnerable women, and other community services and initiatives.
During his time as a Student Union leader at Ondo State University Ado Ekiti, Nigeria, Gbogi Emmanuel held the position of Director of Finance for the Student Union Government and later Secretary to the Union. He played a pivotal role in the formation of JJC, an organization similar to NANS in Ondo State at the time. Additionally, he served as the Special Assistant to Senator Remi Okunrinboye, advising on political matters.
In 2020 Hon. Gbogi Emmanuel also ventured into politics where he became the candidate of APC for the 2023 House of Assembly election in Akoko South West Constituency 1, Oka Akoko.
