The people of Ilaje community in Ilaje Local government area of Ondo State particularly Mahin Ward II has decried the level of political Marginalisation expressed to them in the area of the occupance of chairmanship of the Ilaje Local government since the creation of the council in 1996.
It was gathered by the Exponent Magazine News that nobody from Mahin Ward II since the local government have been splitted into two local government which is Ese-Odo and Ilaje local government, nobody from Mahin Ward II have been appointed or elected to be the chairman of Ilaje Local government from this particular ward.
History has it that out of the four wards in the local government, it was only Mahin Ward II that there people have not be elected or appointed as Ilaje local government as these people have been marginalized for years.
Others have done one or two term since the creation in the year 1996.

According to the source, Mahin Ward I has produced four (4) chairmen of Ilaje local government, followed by Mahin Ward II without chairman, Mahin Ward III had produced two chairmen while Mahin Ward IV also produced two chairmen. ….input chart here…

In another development, the political gladiators in these communities are now appealing to the Governor of Ondo State Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to come to their aid by considering them politically so that the next local government chairman in Ilaje local government would come from Mahin Ward II for equity and justice for all.
Recalled that Mahin Ward II started from oriole-Iwamimo to Ereke all are in the ward in the local government but none of them have ever produced the Chairmanship of the local government and that is why they are calling on the leadership of the APC to do justice to the lopsided of the political imbalance for equity and justice.
