Akoko Consultative Forum Mourns Brigadier Jones Arogbofa
The Akoko Consultative Forum (ACF), Akoko land has paid a condolences visit to the Patron and founding member of the forum, Basorun Seinde Arogbofa, over the sudden death of his brother, Brigadier Jones Ajayi Arogbofa.
The condolence letter was delivered to the Afenifere Chieftain at his residence, Oba-Ile.
In the condolence letter jointly signed by the National President, Pa L.I.A Rogbitan and National Secretary, Hon. Amuda Tairu said, “the entire members of Akoko Consultative Forum wish to extend their condolences on the sudden demise of your younger brother, late Brigadier General Jones Ajayi Arogbofa (rtd), who until his death was the chairman, Centre for Research Information Management and Media Development.
We were pained to the marrow on receiving this heart wrecking news.
Late Brigadier General Jones Arogbofa rose from humble background, breaking all real and perceived barriers on the way to the National and Global reckoning.
He is an intelligent, transparent, courageous, brave, unassuming and charismatic personality that stood tall amidst his peers in all facet of human existence.
The death of this great and worthy Akoko son and committed ambassador of the Yoruba race at a time when virtues inherent in him had not been fully unearthed and utilized by mankind is a devastating below’, he said.
Chief Rogbitan stated further that, the pain is much but God knows best.
” The pain is much but God knows best. We take solace in the fact that the righteousness and exemplary life lived by our fallen hero would grant his soul a perfect place of abode in the bosom of our heavenly father until we meet never to part again”.
The forum also condoled with the entire Arogbofa’s dynasty, the Oka kingdom and the kabiyesi, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alhaji (Dr) Adebori Adekeye, ( OON), the Olubaka of Oka Akoko.
It could be recalled that, Brigadier General Jones Ajayi Arogbofa, was a one time Chief of Staff to the former president of federal republic of Nigeria, President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
