Dr Ehinlanwo Congratulates Aiyedatiwa
—Time to put party interest above other considerations .
The primary of our party has come and gone.
A winner has emerged.
Of course, I ran a robust campaign based on great ideas in the hope of flying the flag of our dear party – the APC and ultimately becoming the Governor of our dear state.
That hope has not been realised at this time. Consequently, it is now time to be pragmatic and put aside personal interest and allow myself and my supporters to be guided by the larger interest of our dear Party – which I helped to build in Ondo state and of course by the overriding interest of my beloved Sunshine state.
It is against the above backdrop that I hereby congratulate you sir – Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over your emergence as the candidate of our Party – The APC.
It is my hope that the Governor will seek to quickly reconcile other contestants and other party members who were not in his camp in the journey towards the November election.
In the spirit of party supremacy and unity, I look forward to working with the Governor and candidate of our Party in ensuring victory for our Party in the November election.
I urge all of my supporters across the state to be prepared to do the same. While I am extremely grateful to my supporters for standing by me, I believe it is now time for us to collectively move on by backing the new candidate of our Party- His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa
