The former governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), and the converner of Kalesanwa Socio-Political Group, Moyosola Niran Oladunni has urged the political office holders to resist a lifestyles that their private earnings can’t sustain.
Speaking with The Focus Magazine, he said our political office holders should leave within their personally earned income.
He said, “Our political office holders should leave within their sustainable income.
They should desist from their lust of wanting to use government fund to raise their social status. Reasons why most of them after office come out worse within a short period of time. Living on government support while on a tenured appointment is deceitful.
Political leadership is not necessarily the pedestal to build social status, but meant for responsible people who genuinely wish to serve their people, “he said.
Oladunni stated further that, ” Many individuals believe that happier people spend more money. While it’s true that having more might lead to comfort and ease, there are more complicated connections between riches, wealth, and happiness.
Instead of allowing deceptive lifestyle to take over, our political office holders should think about creating and prioritizing how to deliver the dividends of democracy to their people. “
