I have every reason to thank God – High Chief David Akuresanmi Bakare
High Chief David Akuresanmi Bakare, the Ojomu of Oda Town and the former State Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union, Ondo State Chapter, said he has every reason to thank Almighty God for His love and kindness in his life.
In a special two-in-one thanksgiving service held at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Isegun, Oda Town, he said he will forever be grateful to God for His protection and kindness. He is my Alpha and Omega.
Bakare said, “I will forever be grateful to Almighty God for His protection and kindness upon my life.
I’m supposed to have done my birthday Thanksgiving on June 7th 2024, but because of God’s protection and His kindness upon my life, I have to change it, as I wanted it to be a general Thanksgiving.
I faced a lot of challenges early this year but today, I’m happy and healthy. For this reason, I have to make a joyful noise unto Him.
The thought of human beings is that I wouldn’t be alive till today but God scattered and put to shame their plans upon my life. This was the reason for inviting different peoples and families to come and celebrate God with me and my family “, he said.
Chief Bakare stated further that, if anyone is moving towards the age of sixty, they should be very careful.
He said, ” I want to tell everyone that if someone is moving towards the age of sixty, they should be very careful.
As for me, I don’t have anything to do than work with my God, because I am ready to serve Him with all my heart and to serve my community. My priority, for now, is to bring human beings up, develop them and make sure people are not in sufferable conditions”.
He advised people that whatever comes their way, they only need to move closer to their God. There is nothing above Almighty God. It is Him who is in charge of everything.
In his sermon, the Assistant General Superintendent (AGS) Oda District, Pastor I.O Oyeneyin said, it is good for us to number our days, so that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
He said,” So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
The celebrant of today thought in his mind that he must thank God for what He has done in his life.
The two days we used to celebrate in our lives are the day of our wedding and birthday. Because these two days are significant in our lives. The two days must be celebrated whether we have money or not, and this is the reason High Chief David Bakare is celebrating his birthday today with thanksgiving in his heart to Almighty God”.
The thanksgiving ceremony was witnessed by who is who within and outside Ondo State, which includes the, Regent of Oda town, the Olu’s, High Chiefs, Chiefs, Politicians, Clerics, Market women, Members of Medical and Health Workers Union, Ondo State and family members.
