Bamidele Akingboye Pays Courtesy Visit to Deji of Akure, Receives Royal Blessings
In a display of respect for traditional institutions, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, embarked on a courtesy visit to the revered Deji and paramount ruler of Akure kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi.
The visit, which was not politically inclined, was a gesture of homage to the traditional ruler and the people of Akure kingdom, reflecting OBA’s deep-rooted cultural values and his commitment to upholding the sanctity of traditional authorities.
Upon arrival at the palace, OBA’s entourage, which included his wife, Mrs. Christianah Akingboye, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Erelu Gebmisola Susan Alabi, and other esteemed members, was warmly received by the Deji himself.
The traditional ruler, visibly delighted by the visit, expressed his appreciation for the SDP leader’s respect and encouraged him and his team to feel at home, emphasizing that the palace doors are open to all.
In a humble yet confident manner, OBA thanked the Deji for his exceptional leadership and warm reception, emphasizing that the visit was not for campaign purposes but rather to pay homage to the revered father figure of Akure kingdom.
As the visit unfolded, the Deji, recognizing OBA’s commitment to upholding cultural values and his vision for the state, bestowed his royal blessings upon the SDP leader and his team, wishing them success in their endeavors.
