The City of Light and Liberation Foundation has urged the newly graduated students of the foundation to be good ambassadors of the foundation.

The advice was given during the graduation ceremony of the 2022/2024 set by the founder of the foundation, Evang. Mrs Rachael Makinwa, which was witnessed by who is who within and outside of the state.

Evang. Mrs Makinwa said, “I want you to be a good ambassador of this great foundation. You have seen and you have conquered. I want you to make use of all the training you have acquired for you to be useful in life.

I want you to know that God created us for a purpose. He created us to succeed in life. Don’t believe that you can not make it, believe in yourself.

As you’re going into the world, I pray that God will continue to guide and protect you”, she said.

Evang. Mrs Makinwa who gave the Genesis of the foundation said, it was in Austria country that she received a call from God to open a church, and after three to four years, she discovered that a lot of prostitutes, and most of them were moving to Austria, where God asked her to go out in the night so that she could see them.
It was there I started to fetch them out and that was how the City of Light and Liberation Foundation started.

She added that God says a lot of people are in darkness and she should bring them out of the darkness to His light.
More than five hundred were arrested for prostitution and human trafficking in Austria.

From there we started to have big contacts in different European countries in human trafficking as we started to move from one country to another.

It was later that God said we must go to the root cause, that was the reason we brought it to Nigeria about nineteen years ago.

The first set in Nigeria, Eighteen students graduated, today, another set of nineteenth is being graduated.

Mrs Makinwa stated further that the mission of the foundation is to provide development and empowerment through capacity development and creation of employment opportunities for the less privileged in Nigeria.

She said the foundation focuses on vocational training as well as technical and financial startup assistance.

Mrs Makinwa said, the City of Light and Liberation Foundation was founded in 2009 and registered both in Austria and Nigeria as a non-governmental organisation to combat human trafficking by educating and empowering people in the rural communities in Nigeria.

The victims of human trafficking suffered physical and emotional abuse like rape and threats against self and family.

In a chat with The Focus, Pastor Alex Makinwa a director of the foundation expressed his happiness and gratitude to the management, staff and outgoing students for the success of the foundation.

He said, it was he and his wife who joined hands together to set up the foundation to help the less privileged and for humanity, as Jesus said there must be poor among you. It’s our responsibility to stretch our hands to the widows, orphans and the less privileged in society.

On how they get funds to run the foundation, he said if God gives you a vision, He will make a provision for you. We got assistance from some organisations abroad that believe in our vision.

Pastor Makinwa enjoined the outgoing students to remember the son of whom they are. They should not see themselves as someone who has known all.

In their words of advice for the outgoing students, Pastor Chris and Oluwande said they were grateful to Almighty God for making the day a reality.

They said a lot of positive impact has been made on the lives of the students which is going to make them useful to society.

The training they have acquired from the City of Light and Liberation Foundation will make them great in the future.

They advised them that, though the labour market is saturated because there are a lot of them in the market. They are going to face a lot of competition but what is going to make them different is to be in a class of their own.

In her remarks, the Eyelobirin of Eleyowo, Chief Mrs Cecelia Ologede expressed her joy to the founder for established the foundation in their domain as the foundation has helped them a lot.

She said, some of their wards who were supposed to be idle are now remodeled to become self-employed. I thank the founder of this foundation for diming it fit to set up this vocational centre in our area.
