Basorun Seinde Arogbofa’s Literary Works Played Vital Roles In Our Society -Prof Aborisade
The Book launched in honour of Basorun Seinde Arogbofa (OFR) tittle, Tales and Voices, an anthology which was written by the Association of Nigerian Authors, Ondo StateChapter (ANA), was presented to the public by the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, was ablely represented by the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olajide Adelami.
The Chairman of the planning committee Prof.Bayo Aborisade said, the contributions of Basorun Seinde Arogbofa works was profound as it installed values on the youngers one.
He said his writing reflected our culture and encouraging readers to think emphatically about the betterment of our society.
Speaking, Prof Bayo Aborisade who is also the chairman of the committee said, Basorun Arogbofa had led the Association to a greater heights as the Association, through his leadership had show everyone that, literature is about the community and the aspirations of developing the society through writing.
He said the anthology was about the celebration of Arogbofa and about his enduring life he has lived.
He said the book also celebrated the power of literature and the roles Basorun Seinde Arogbofa played in shaping the society for better through the publishing of his literary works .
The chairman concluded in his remarks that Basorun Seinde Arogbofa -OFR, literary works played a vital roles in shaping the life of our youths in the society.
In another development, the book reviewer, Prof Busuyi Mekusi from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, who is also the Director of the teaching and leadership centre , AAUA Akungba Akoko, titled his reviewing as odd to an embulent letter writer.
He said the book have about 489 pages written by different authors or contributors.
He said that poetry is simply about all we are and art produces imagination which helped us to imagine what you want to do and providing you the plans on how to do it and achieve it.
“For you to tell your story , you need a voice, according to the Prof. Busuyi, Mekusi ” who said the book described Basorun Seinde Arogbofa work as it analysis the entire acts of the life of the celebrant.
The anthology, according to the Prof. Mekusi comprises the essay, poetry, interview and analysis of some works done by Basorun Seinde Arogbofa.
He said the anthology was a book that contained told and untold stories in the literature which provided some solutions to some of problems in the society.
The Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Olajide Adelami, described the celebrant Basorun Seinde Arogbofa, as author of many books and he was an inspiration to many Nigerians .
He said today event is another celebrations of a true and life of the legacies of Basorun Seinde Arogbofa.
He said the book reflected the thoughts of the celebrant, and appreciate the publisher for contributing their roles to the humanity.
He said Aiyedatiwa led administration in Ondo State is currently improving the educational sector in the state by recruiting some teachers into the schools across the state.
Adelami used the opportunity to showcase some of the contributions the administration had embarked upon since it’s inception.
He said Basorun Seinde Arogbofa had made remarkable contributions to the development of Ondo State and prayed that God would continue to be with him.
He added that he should be an inspired of integrity and be a change agent for peace and development.
There after , the Governor unvails the book for launching..
Highlights of the event include, cultural performance, playlet presented by the Youth Corpers in the state, reading of poetry and many more.
The event was held at the hall of The Federal University of Technology -FUTA, Akure Ondo State.
