Pastor (Dr) Marcus Akinduko, A selfless and Fulfilled Man

Pastor (Dr) Marcus Akinduko, a philanthropist affects a flurry of beings curved into one.
His is an enterprise, resilience, generous, a prevailing character, a foundation of genius with dashes of brilliance brightening the novel ideas of his mindset remains, one personality that is supremely and divinely molded to conquer, no matter the circumstance.
Akinduko, and of course with his God, the word of impossibility is not in his dictionary. He moved in self-confident courageous aura that has always left his detractors at the receiving end.
He has overcome and conquered every onslaught and landmines set by adversaries to slow down. Despite the challenges, he moves forward.
When one puts into consideration his blowing philanthropy which has gained tremendous momentum over the years, speaks volumes of a trailer blazer whom God has supremely planted for a cause.
His smile, calm, welcoming, and reassuring demeanor is the first thing that will strike you on a close encounter with him.
The incandescent glow on his face which radiates whenever he smiles attests to a man at peace with himself and his environment.
It is the smile of a personality who had been through more than his fair share of life challenges but yet found a way to always overcome like a proverbial cat with nine lives.
His story is highly illuminating as it is intriguing, having come from a humble background.
Pastor Marcus Akinduko, was born into the family of Akinduko’s, in Idanre, Idanre Local Government area of Ondo State some decades ago.
He started his elementary school at, St. Paul RMC Primary School, Yaba, Ondo, for his Primary Six School Leaving Certificate.
He proceeded to Olofin Anglican Grammar School, Idanre, Idanre Local Government area of Ondo State, from where he sat for his West African Examination Council.
Thereafter, he proceeded to one of the prestigious University in Nigeria, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, where he bagged a B.Sc (Hons), in Banking and Finance, Masters Degree in Business Administration, from the same University and Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration, from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
In his quest to acquire more skills, he joined the service of the then, Ondo State Local Government Service Commission.
Presently, he is the most senior director of finance and supplies in the local government service of Ondo State.
A versatile individual, he was an accredited members of the following bodies and associations, Fellow, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria(FCNA), Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) Chartered, Member, Institute of Cost Accountants, etc.
*His special responsibility* . He was a member of implementation and procurement committee of the star project of Akure South Local Government, within Akure South Secretariat, Member, panel of enquiry to investigate an alleged mismanagement of public fund in Akoko South West Local Government, Oka Akoko. Part- time lecturer, Local Government Staff Training School, Itaogbolu, Akure North Local Government, area of Ondo State.
Pastor Marcus Akinduko had attended various seminars and workshops within and outside the country.
His publications includes, Local Government internally generated revenue, problems and prospects, Store keeping and stock management in the local government, Corporate financial decision and objective of the firms, Investment analysis and portfolio management, The concept of co-production and it is implementation for service delivery and the nature of business and the concept of financial intermission.
A philanthropist who derived a passion for helping people. It took humility and grace to seek beyond entrepreneurial exploits and improve lives via selfless and fortunate changing philanthropy.
The story of Pastor Akinduko aptly reminds us that we can resist the excuses that guard us from showing love to the less privileged ones. Whatever power we have, whatever our wealth and attainments, we attain humanness and immortality by lifting others, especially those who are less privileged than us.
Philanthropy is at the heart of everything that Akinduko does. Why a lot of elite Philanthropy is about elite causes, but it’s not so for Pastor Marcus Akinduko.
Through him, he has put smiles on people’s faces by creating or supporting initiatives that deliver knowledge, skills, resources, and infrastructure that stimulate innovation, and commerce and improve living conditions.
His prayerful life is worth of emulation. His closeness to God gave him good knowledge and motivation to succeed.
He had the conviction that God’s grace was sufficient for him, as he was born to win no matter the situation he might find himself in.
He is a man of substance and valor who has made a positive impact on the lives of his people. He is diligent, hardworking, honest, and human.
Pastor Marcus Akinduko had received various awards and letters of commendation which includes, conserve award 2010, for outstanding performance and unique acts in the local government service of Ondo State and letter of commendation from 820 , members of staff of Ondo West Local Government Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, for exemplary audit exercise on the account of the society.
Currently, Pastor Marcus Akinduko is the resident Pastor of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Oke- Aro, Akure, Akure South Local Government, area of Ondo State.
