Ijapo High School Principal, Fadekemi Jogbodo Welcomes new students to 2024/2025 Academic Session
The principal of Ijapo High School, Ijapo, Akure, Deaconess Fadekemi Jogbodo, has recently welcomed new students to 2024/2025 academic session, with advice for the new students to be committed and dedicated to their studies.
The walk-in ceremony of 2024/2025 took place on 17th of October, 2024, at the school hall, was witnessed by the school principal, vice principal, academic and non academic staff as well as students and parents.
Welcoming the new students, Mrs Jogbodo said, ” I have accepted you into the school by the name of the father, of the son and of the Holy spirit, congratulations.”
The principal, who was adorned in the complete school uniform, stressed that she was delighted to identify with her students.
“The students were so excited to see me in school uniform. I did it to identify with them to show that I loved them,” stated.
“I did that so that they can relate well with me and see me as their mother.”
Mrs Jogbodo revealed further that her first achievement was to make the school perimeter fence, provide the school with solar converters, photocopy machines and drum sets, “because when I first came to the school, those were their demands I saw on the school notice board.”
She urged the students to take their studies seriosly and shun any act that could bring disgrace to their parents.
“You should always remember the children of whom you are. Education is the only legacy that can be bestowed to you by your parents that nobody will take away from you.”
The walk-in ceremony for 2024/2025 academic session witnessed match pass, entertainment by the Boys Brigade, presentation of the register that contains the students names and registration numbers to the school principal.
