Oba Benjamin Omoleewo Celebrates two years on the throne with thanksgiving
The Elekun of Ilekun in Akure South Local Government area of Ondo, His Royal Highness, Oba Benjamin Oluwafemi Omoleewo has celebrated his two years on the throne of his forefathers with a thanksgiving.
The event which took place at his Palace in Ilekun area was attended by the Kabiyesi’s, Chiefs, family friends, community leaders and well-wishers.
In a chat with The Focus Magazine, Oba Benjamin Omoleewo returned all glory to Almighty God for sparing his life to witness the second years on the throne of his forefathers.
He said,” I returned all the glory to Almighty God for sparing my life to witness the second years on the throne of my forefathers.
I used this opportunity to thank the former Governor of Ondo State, Late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who made it possible for me to become the Elekun of Ilekun. I will forever be grateful to him”.
Oba Omoleewo said, since he ascended the throne about three decades ago, the community has witnessed peace and progress. And used the occasion to call on government to help the community in the area of infrastructural development.
Oba Benjamin Omoleewo thanked the people of Ilekun for coming out enmass to cast their votes for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the last governorship election in Ondo State, and urged them to support his government.
It could be recalled that, Oba Benjamin Omoleewo with his chiefs, family and well-wishers has given thanksgiving to God at the ( Church of Nigeria- Anglican Communion) Anglican Church, Ilekun, where guests, family and friends were treated with assorted foods and drinks.
