Yuletide: Ondo State Man of the Year, ABENA Distributes Bags of Rice, Cash to Ease Christmas Celebration
The Executive Director, Corporate Services of the NDDC, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde (Abena) has distributed hundred bags of rice and cash to the people of Ondo State saying the rice will ease the seamless celebration of Christmas celebrations for the people.
Speaking with the Newsmen, Abena as popularly called stated that there’s need to show love and care during the xmas period, noting that the gift items will in no small measure cushion the effects of the current situation in the country.
He pleaded with the people of the country to exercise patience with President Tinubu, saying some of the policies might bring discomfort to the people now but the end results will definitely bring relief to the people.
The SWAGGA Chairman in Ondo State during the last presidential election also said Mr President is passionate about the well-being of the citizens, noting that, repositioning of the country to greatness will definitely take time.
Hon Abena, a two terms Member of the Green Chamber and former Secretary to the State Government added that no matter how little the food items and cash, it would go a long way in supporting the Christian faithful in celebrating Christmas and bringing happiness to the faces of the less privileged in the state.
The NDDC Executive Director is a Philanthropist who has continually contributed to the welfare of the less privileged in the society without discriminating before his foray into politics.
Speaking with some of the the beneficiaries, they praised Abena for coming to assist the people at this festive period, pointing out that the season is about love and sharing.
Meanwhile, in recognition of his service to humanity, Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole, the Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers, Ondo State Council on Sunday 22nd December 22nd, 2024 conferred the highest Award of the association on him as the ONDO STATE MAN OF THE YEAR.
The elated Abena could not hide his joy considering the number of personalities that graced the occasion with him and the weight of the award bestowed on him, making thim the first person the association would honour with the Prestige Award of the Man of the Year.
He dedicated the Award to the President of the Federal Republic, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for believing him and also working tirelessly for a better Nigeria.
