Ogunmokun Sends SOS To Senator Patrick Akinyelure Over Breach of Contract
In an attempt to find a lasting solution to the alleged breach of contract by one Mr Ayodele Idima of SENPAT NIG LTD, Mr Ogunmokun Akinbola has sent Save Our Souls (SOS) to Senator Patrick Akinyelure, a former Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District in the 9th Assembly.
In a statement made available to Newsmen, Ogunmokun Akinbola said the call for quick intervention of the ranking senator become necessary as Mr Idima is not ready to shift ground on the amount to be refunded.
Speaking, Ogunmokun said he hired a D7H Machine from Senpat with agreement of bulldozing some acres of land in Aponmu Community for a period of ten days at the total cost of N4.1m which was paid into the company’s account.
According to Ogunmokun, the rented machine worked only for one hour on day one, precisely on the 8th of January and broke down. ” For five days, no work on the site, not until the 15th of January before work resumed when the machine had been repaired”.
He further added that, after the machine had been fixed, it worked for one full day and the next four days, no work was done on the site due to unforseen challenges from the people of the community. He said he was surprised that Mr. Idima went to the site and removed his machine without informing him.
His words: “To our surprise, Mr Idima went behind us and took the machine from the site citing information of possible attack on the machine by some people of Aponmu Community”.
He added that, Idima said two batteries and side mirrors of the machine were damaged totaling N400,000 of which he agreed to pay for peace to reign.
“The bone of contention is breach of agreement of refund of N2,705,000 to me having deducted the damages and expenses incurred totaling N1,395,000.
Ogunmokun is using this medium to appeal to Senator Patrick Akinyelure who has a stake in the company to use his good name and influence to intervene in the matter saying he has suffered a serious loss with no money to hire another machine to commence work in the site.
” We all know Senator Patrick Akinyelure to be a man of integrity and always be on the side of the common masses both as a private and public man. I have been cheated and I am counting on you to come to my rescue. You have never for once called black white nor called white black because you are a straight forward person and good mediator that always stand by the truth”.
He charged the senator to urgently take drastic action and call Mr Idima to order saying he believes the high ranking senator will do the needful in addressing the issue in a matter of days.
On his part, Mr Ayodele Idima said he spent N1,775,000 to repair the machine noting that, some unknown people at Aponmu Community inserted some nails into the machine which he noticed when the machine developed a fault at another customer’s site.
Idima added that, there’s nothing like breach of contract between him and Ogunmokun saying he couldn’t allow his machine to be destroyed by angry farmers farming on the said land. ‘ I will deduct all money spent in fixing the damaged machine from the balance I want to refund to Mr Ogunmokun”.
” I removed my machine from the site when I learnt of possible attack on the machine. The attackers earlier removed one battery, destroyed second battery, side mirrors and glass of the machine. I can’t bear the cost of repairing the machine alone because the nails that damaged the machine were inserted on their site”.
