Today is the best day in my life–Johson Osho
One of the Ihare from the Isolo quarter in Ikun Akoko, Johnson Osho, has said that May 17th, 2025, is going to be a memorable day in his life.
In a chat with The Focus Magazine in his house at Ikun Akoko, Osho said, ” I count this day to be the best day in my life as I am one of those who celebrated the Ihare ceremony.
Ihare ceremony can also be compared to a birthday ceremony, which is good for us to celebrate. It is the right thing that our children must be doing for us when we are alive because we eat from our labour.
Whichever animals were being killed today, we are going to eat from it. If one dies, if you kill hundreds of cows, he or she can not eat from it”, he said.
Osho who was joyful to be among the new Ihare advised those who will do it in the next nine years to continue praying to God
He said, “I enjoined those that would celebrate it in the next nine years should continue praying to God. We grew up by grace, not by our strength. It is through God. As for me, I never thought I would witness today’s Ihare celebration, but God gave me the grace to witness it in good health. Not all of us who started the race were able to witness it today. I pray for those that are coming behind us, that by the grace of God, they are going to witness this type of day in their lives “, he said.
