Adepoju Remains a Quintessential Leader that walks the talk- says Akinrogun Alaba Yusuf

A renowned Public Relations expert and founding editor of Ovation International Magazine, Akinrogun Alaba Yusuf, has described Dr. Matthew Olumide Adepoju, the Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), as a leader who exemplifies excellence, innovation, and strategic development in Nigeria’s space sector.

Yusuf made this statement during a courtesy visit to the NASRDA headquarters in Abuja, where he commended Dr. Adepoju’s outstanding leadership and vision in advancing the agency’s mission.

He described the NASRDA boss as a leader who “walks the talk,” highlighting his commitment, expertise, and ability to drive progress.

According to Yusuf, the agency has reached a significant milestone with Dr. Adepoju at its helm, citing his dedication and intellectual strength as key factors in positioning NASRDA for greater achievements.

 

He noted that his visit felt like a homecoming, given his longstanding relationship with the agency dating back to 2003.

Expressing admiration for the progress made under Dr. Adepoju’s leadership, Yusuf attributed the agency’s recent successes to the Director General’s patriotism, professionalism, and strategic foresight.

He lauded the bold initiatives being implemented, emphasizing that they reflect a clear vision for national development through space technology.

He further stressed that NASRDA, as a vital institution in Nigeria’s technological advancement, requires strong leadership to fulfill its mandate.

He stated that Dr. Adepoju has demonstrated the capability to enhance the agency’s visibility, impact, and alignment with both national and global priorities.

Yusuf encouraged NASRDA’s management and staff to continue supporting the Director General, emphasizing that teamwork and collective effort are essential for the agency’s growth.

He also commended the Media and Corporate Communications Department for its professionalism and strategic efforts in promoting NASRDA’s image nationally and internationally.

Looking ahead, he expressed optimism about the future of NASRDA under Dr. Adepoju’s guidance, stating that his leadership has infused the agency with renewed purpose and energy, making it a driving force for innovation and national development.

In response, Dr. Adepoju expressed gratitude for the visit and the confidence reposed in his leadership.

He acknowledged Yusuf as a valuable ally of the agency and reaffirmed his commitment to securing NASRDA’s place in the global space community through continued collaboration and support from it staff.

Accompanying Akinrogun Alaba Yusuf on the visit was Dr. Abdou Gueye, former Director of the Early Warning Department at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

2024: GOV AIYEDATIWA RECEIVES APC CERTIFICATE OF RETURN  – NWC endorses Appeal Committee report, ratifies primary outcome    The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, on Monday presented Certificate of Return to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as the candidate of the APC in the November 16 governorship election in the State.  The certificate was presented to the Governor at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja in the presence of members of the National Working Committee of the party.  Presenting the certificate, Ganduje expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the primary and congratulated the Governor for emerging victorious.   Ganduje said he has been fascinated with the trajectory of Aiyedatiwa from Deputy Governor to Acting Governor and to Governor, adding that he will also remain Governor from February 24, 2025.  The National Chairman stressed that continuity is crucial and with Aiyedatiwa continuing as Governor, Ondo State will witness unprecedented development.   Responding, Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the national leadership of the party for presiding over a successful electoral process that brought about his emergence as the governorship candidate.   The Governor saluted all the other aspirants who participated in the primary, appreciating them for being good sport and urging them to join hands with him in uniting the party towards a good outing in the coming election.   In his opening remarks, the Deputy National Chairman, South, of the party, Hon. Emma Enekwu, said the NWC earlier in the day approved the report of the Primary Appeal Committee and subsequently adopted the outcome of the primary.   In his closing remarks, the State Chairman of the APC,  Engr. Ade Adetimehin, said all efforts will be put in to ensure that the party remains united ahead of the governorship election, adding that Ondo will remain a progressive State. Barr. Akinola Olufemi Bags Focus Hall Of Fame Award   The Focus Magazine will be conferring award of  Outstanding Role Model In  Public Services, on Barr. Akinola Olufemi, as part of the activities marking the 2023, Focus Hall of Fame award and public lecture.  In the press release signed by the publisher of the magazine, Ayodele Ologunola said, Akinola would be conferred with the award in  appreciation of his impact and contributions to the civil service in Ondo State and Nigeria in general.  According to him, ” Akinola has used his influence to impact positively into the society. It is also on record that, he has always ready to put smiles on the faces of whoever comes in contact with him.  His giant strides in the local government service  in Ondo State  is a living testimony”.  While congratulating him for the honour, the publisher urged him to continue with his contributions to the development of humankind and his support to the growth of the society.  Meanwhile, the theme for this year public lecture is,”Acquiring Education Is Not A Privilege But A Fundermental Right”, is to be delivered by Hon. Olusoji Aga.  The occasion is to be chaired by HRH, Oba Benjamin Olufemi Omoleewo, the Elekun of Ilekun while the Guest of Honour is the Commissioner For Education, Science and Technology, Pastor Femi Agagu, and with other eminent personalities in the society.  Other programmes of the day include launching of the Focus Hall of Fame magazine, lecture and award presentation.   The event will take place at, Comrade Amusa Bakare Multipurpose Hall, Opp. Ade-Tade Hospital, Ilesa Road, Akure, by 2:00 pm.
