Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa Glorious Exit
It was a glorius exit for Pa Gabriel Adelabu Ologunorisa as family, friends and wellwishers came together to bid him farewell.
The burial of late Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa which took place at Christ Apostolic Church, Akunmi Quarters, Akungba Akoko, was witnessed by dignitaries across the country, which includes, the Honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, President of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Oladele, General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Hezekiah Oladeji, Clerics from Christ Apostolic Church across Ondo State, Legal Luminaries, Scholars, Politicians, Government representatives, Sons and Daughters from Akungba Akoko, family, friends and wellwishers.
Eulogies and calls for emulation of the virtues of the deceased started pouring in from the wake keep service held at his residence on Thursday 30th to Friday 31st, 2025.
While leading the funeral service, the President of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Oladele, extolled the virtues of late Pa Gabriel Adelabu Ologunorisa and implored all his children, relatives and congregants to emulate him.
Pastor Samuel Oladele, took his message from the book of Job 14:1:10 said, Christian doesn’t mean a life without a challenge.
He said, “For you to be a Christian doesn’t mean you will not have a challenge. Job faced a lot of challenge but at end, with his trust in God, he overcame.”
Pastor Oladele warned those churches that preach against and enjoined the children of late Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa to uphold and preserve their father’s good legacy.
The man of God stated further that, “Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa lived in Christ and died in Christ, meaning he would live forever.
He lived a discipline life, a committed life and a responsible life worthy of emulation. In fact, everything positive was associated with him”.
Speaking with The Focus Magazine, the eldest son of Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa, Barr. Sam Ologunorisa (SAN) said, his father is a simple man, honest, humble, down to earth and hospitable.
Barr. Ologunorisa (SAN), appealed for love for one another and understanding of all Nigerians, saying this is the only way we could benefit from the Country’s development.
He advised all the visitors present at the funeral ceremony to always live in love and peace.
In his response, another Baba son who is the Vice Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, in Ondo State, Professor Temi Ologunorisa said, “his father is an epitome of honesty, integrity, dignity and honour. A man who lives his life with simplicity.
Our father is a divine gift whose passion for education extended beyond his immediate family.
His is well known for his dedication to ensure that every children received sound education.
He always challenged any child found roaming about the streets during the school hours and make sure that child returns to class.
His strictness in making sure that child returned back to school earned him the affectionate nickname “Brigadier General”.
As for we the children, there is nothing we can do but to live our lives the way he loved.
He has left an easy path for us to follow and by the grace of God, we are going to walk in his shoes. Although, it’s a very big shoes”,
In his tributes, Dr. Kayode Aduloju, described late Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa as a pillar of support in the community.
He recalled how the late Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa played a crucial role in his academic career, by sponsoring his early trips to United States, to further his education.
He said, to him Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa generosity and commitment to education were unmatched.
Others who spoke with The Focus Magazine eulogies late Pa Adelabu Ologunorisa as a man who value education and have the interest of his community at heart.
Immediately after the church service, the festivities moved to the playground of the Community Comprehensive High School, Akungba Akoko, where the King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal(KI De Utimate) thrilled the guests with electrifying songs, where assorted foods and drinks.
