Hon. Rabiu Usmam Promises Dividends of Democracy.
The newly sworn-in Councillor for Ward 13 in Akoko South West Local Government, Hon. Rabiu Usmam, has promised people from his ward that he will deliver to them the dividends of democracy.
In a chat with The Focus Magazine during his sworn-in, he said, “The people from ward 13, that voted for him during the last local government election in Ondo State should expect more dividends of democracy”.
” I sincerely thank the people from Ward 13 for coming out en mass to vote for APC candidates during the last local government election.
I promise that I will not fail you and will try my best to deliver to you the dividends of democracy.
The task before me is high but I have the belief in God, He will not disappoint me”.
In his address, the Executive Chairman of Akoko South West, Hon. Ayo Ajana, urged the newly sworn councilors to cooperate with him to move the local government forward.
He said, ” I urged the newly sworn-in councilors to cooperate with me. It’s through your cooperation and support we can move the local government forward.
We must work together as a team so that everyone in the local government feels the impact of good governance”, he said.
In his advice, the APC Chairman for Ward 13, Hon. Tunde Ajiwoju, enjoined the new Councillor not to forget those who support him for the position.
The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by APC stalwarts, leaders, friends, family and wellwishers.
