Oba Ademehinti calls on federal government to repair the Abo-Asakin-Araromi Junction Expressway road
The Asakin of Abo Asakin in Akure North Local Government, area of Ondo State, His Royal Highness, Oba Sunday Ademehinti has called on the federal ministry of works to repair Abo-Asakin- Araromi highway along Akure Airport which has become a death trap for the motorist.
In a chat with The Focus Magazine in his Palace, Oba Sunday Ademehinti said the highway belongs to the Federal government and they must repair the road through the Federal Road Maintenance Authority (FERMA).
The road has become a death trap for the motorists plying the highway.
He said,” I call on the minister of works as a matter of urgency to come to the aid of the motorists and people plying the highway because the road has become a death trap.
The road belongs to the federal government and its duty and responsibility is to repair it through its agency FERMA. This highway is a few meters from Akure Airport”.
Meanwhile, those people plying the highway said the Abo-Asakin and Araromi junction highways need channelization from both sides of the road.
If the government was able to channel it, it would be easy for water to come from both sides during the rain as it would have access to pass through.
