Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure, Acceptable Candidate for Ondo State Governorship seat

Self discipline, commitment and selflessness, no doubt play a greater role in shapping one’s future in his drive to succeed. Anyone who refuses to venture outside his comfort zone is not different from others who remains at the background doing repeatedly what they know how to do best. Such people are always surrounded by the people and events that draw him away from doing the things that are most important.
However, venturing into some challenging areas of life keeps one closer to achieving his or her destiny and set him on a motion towards the peak of his or her career.
A Chinese proverb says, ” When you see a good man, think of emulating him. But when you see a bad man, examine your heart “.
Most people don’t want to take a risk because of their comfortable life styles where everything goes on according to plan and nothing is faulty. People are scared to take a leap of faith. It’s very true that faith does involve a certain degree of risk.
Faith is a step that conquers the unknown. The risk connected to faith in God’s words is not a risk. However, but rather faith in action.
The aboved mentioned can best be described the personality of Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure, the Otunba of Osoro and Ikale land, who is one of the aspirants for the next Governorship election in Ondo State.
It has been said that, before you take any steps in life, you must have faith in God and in yourself. The Bible says, ” Now faith is the substance of things hoped-for, the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good testimony”.
Since, Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure joined politics in the year 1980, he has been a man of faith who believed in himself that one day, he would be given the opportunity to serve his people.
Since he foray into politics, he had been consistent like a northern star, which has made him to represent his people in many ways.
At the adventure of the fourth republic, he joined the Alliance for Democracy (AD). In 2001, he joined Action Congress (AC). He has never abandoned the party because of his belief in political ideology.
In year 2011, he was one of the aspirants for senate from the Ondo South Senatorial district under the platform of Action Congress. He was also the Deputy Governorship Candidate to Rotimi Akeredolu in 2012 Governorship election in Ondo State, on the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). In 2016, he ran for the Governorship seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure was a member of the State Campaign Council, Secretary of Okitipupa and Irele federal constituency council, Director General, Okitipupa Local Government Campaign Council, Secretary, Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Council Under Reconciliation and Regulation and member, Presidential Campaign Council Under Logistics and Support.
Despite his successful status, the astute politician his yet to achieve is optimum target. His focus is the governorship seat of Ondo State, in the 2024 election. A grassroots politician who knows his onions. He is going to contest under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria (APC), and he has started to have followers across all the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
In one of his statement, he said, “his gesture is to send a message of hopes to the people of Ondo State, especially the widows that, he have them in mind and he would do everything humanly possible to see that their lives is better off if he was elected as governor of Ondo State.
“My ability and what I intended to do for my people would be determined and my people know that I have superior attributes. I have the superior qualities should I be given the mandate.
I’m not going to be relent, I am going to maintain my campaign tempo and that is how it should be”.
Some of Akintelure’s loyalists said, they see him as a great leader.
“Dr Paul Akintelure is great leader who truly cares about his people. He has a clear vision for the future and commitment to work tirelessly to make that vision a reality. He has proven the track record of getting things done . He’s the kind of the leader we need right now in Ondo State with his vision, experience and commitment to the good people of Sunshine State. The trait of governor is in him”.
Another one said, ” Dr. Paul Akintelure is the man that captured his attention and that of many others politically since when he was vying along side with Akeredolu in his first Governorship intention.
An erudite speaker, a selfless philanthropist, venturesonesly bold in the field of politicking.
A doctor per excellence. His constitency with the people in the act of transparent leadership and quality services is the reason for the mammoth support and unwavering love he has been received from good people of the Sunshine State.
He is a generous giver. He embraced politics not as a means to power but as a platform to effect genuine change.
Dr Akintelure believes strictly in good governance and advocating for policies that would uplift the downtrodden and propel the progress of Ondo State “.
