Sunshine stars Victory Over Akwa United, Huge Relief- Saka Ogunleye
Ondo state Commissioner, Youths Development and sports, Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye has described Sunshine stars 2-0 win over Akwa United in a matchday 35 tie at home as a big relief .
The commissioner who addressed journalists after the game said the players gave their all to earn maximum points .
He however attributed the turn around in the team to recent restructuring which is evidently yielding positive result .
” I’m glad we won convincingly here today after defeating Gombe United days ago away from home , I must commend everyone, the technical crew , players , backroom staff and of course the supporters, the relief is huge and I must also remind you that recent rejig we made is yielding good results ”
He appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa’s unwavering support of the team saying results like this esxites Mr Governor.

Lucky Nwafor and Yusuf Ibrahim gave Sunshine stars the two goals in quick succession 74th and 76th minutes to earn maximum points for the Ondo state darling team.
The result move Sunshine stars out of the danger zone on the league table .
Sunshine stars FC now occupies the 11th position on the league table with 46 points.
The team’s next match is against Doma United in Gombe on Wednesday.
