Odatiwa Women Initiatives: Aiyedatiwa Kickstarts Distribution OF Food To Rural Communities. In a bid to alleviate the hardship faced by women in rural communities, the Odatiwa Women Initiatives, spearheaded by the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr Seun Osamaye, has kicked off the distribution of food and relief materials. This initiative, championed by Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, aims to bring much-needed assistance to the grassroots level. In a statement by the special adviser designate to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on women affairs, Dr Seun Osamaye, She restated the Governor’s commitment to the welfare of women in the state particularly, those in very rural and remote areas, and his willingness to take governance to their doorsteps. She said “With a focus on areas that have traditionally been underserved by the government, the program seeks to make a tangible impact on the lives of women in these communities. By providing essential food items and relief materials, the Odatiwa Women Initiatives are working to ensure that no woman is left behind in the quest for sustainable development. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa remains the best to champion the interest of women and ensure that they take their place in governance and the society “. The distribution of food and relief materials is an important step towards ensuring that women in rural communities have access to essential resources during these challenging times. By providing support directly to the grassroots, the Odatiwa Women Initiatives are taking proactive measures to address the needs of vulnerable populations in Ondo State. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to supporting women in rural communities is evident through this initiative. This distribution of food will not only provide much-needed assistance to those in need but also serve as a beacon of hope for women in rural communities. As we continue to navigate the challenges brought on by the ongoing pandemic, it is crucial that we prioritize the well-being of all members of our society, particularly those in underserved areas. BREAKING NEWS: NATIONAL ASSEMBLY GRANTS FULL AUTONOMY TO THE 774 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS OF NIGERIA AS INEC IS NOW TO CONDUCT LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS… “The National Assembly on Tuesday, granted full financial and administrative autonomy to all the 774 local council authorities across Nigeria by amending section 124 of the nation’s constitution. The section provides a consequential provision for the making of the local councils, a full third tier government without undue interference from the state governments. The ammendment was one of the 22 others approved by the House of Representatives last week and ratified by the Senate on Tuesday. Both chambers had through a conference committee harmonised versions of the ammendments into the constitution carried out by each of them last month. By the development, the National Assembly had ratified all the 23 clauses and sections that had been ammended by both chambers. The newly ammended document which would be sent to States Houses of Assembly, for approval, also approved the creation of the Office of Auditor General of the Local Government as well as the State Local Government Service Commission. The section equally deleted the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) from the constitution thereby vesting the powers to conduct council elections on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). It however, retained the immunity clause in the constitution for the President and Governors by adopting the Senate version of the ammendments on the issue and rejected the House of Representatives version which removed the immunity clause. The National Assembly also made provisions for Independent Candidacy in future elections in Nigeria by amending sections 65 and 106 of the 1999 constitution…” @highlight

GOV AIYEDATIWA CONGRATULATES HON. D.I. KEKEMEKE ON BIRTHDAY. The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, congratulates the National Vice Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Isaac Kekemeke, on his 61st birthday. Hon. Kekemeke, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, former Secretary to the State Government and former Chairman of the National Examination Council (NECO) is a former Chairman of the APC in the State. Governor Aiyedatiwa describes Hon. Kekemeke as a dedicated public servant, a political leader of repute and a champion of the people. The Governor hails the contributions of Hon.
